Brothers, Jason & Jared Hulcy first got the idea to utilize their load bearing wall removal business to help those in need in December of 2016, when a terrible tornado ripped through the Dallas area devastating whole neighborhoods in Rowlett and Garland, as well as others. Jason and Jared, along with their 2 other brothers, Jordan and Rhett, volunteers from their churches and communities, and employees of LBWP, went door-to-door for 2 weeks volunteering to help tarp roofs for free.
The Load Bearing Wall Pros continue to lead service groups to clean up trash, put on new roofs, help with construction needs, and serve their community in the DFW area!

They finally knocked on the door of a gentleman named Jimmy who had significant damage to his house but did not have any insurance. Over the next five months, with tons and tons of volunteer hours committed, materials donated, services rendered by generous contractors, they re-built Jimmy’s house and shop back to pre-storm conditions. It was an incredible site to behold; people banding together to serve others sacrificially with no personal game other than the joy of giving!

The idea of “Down to the Foundation” was conceived! Although it wouldn’t be until 2022 that the actual 501c3 non-profit was established, the purpose of Down the the Foundation would be to aid those in need with construction related projects. Jared & Jason continued looking for opportunities to serve in this way and if you or someone you know need help with a construction project, please contact us!
